"As a professor of Physics and Engineering, W. Blake Laing has an interest in implementing recommendations from Physics Education Research as well as building Physics Innovation and Entrepreneurship into the academic curriculum. Professor Laing holds a Ph.D. in Atomic Physics from the University of Oklahoma (the last student of advisor Deborah Watson). After postdoctoral research fellowships at Kansas State University and at Rowan University in New Jersey, he joined the Physics and Engineering Department in 2012. He enjoys engaging in research in computational atomic physics as well as the physics of bike racing. Professor Laing has a personal interest in triathlon racing and family portrait photography."
